about

They returned to the sun room upstairs. The band was lit up and cooking! The ladies were singing some of their own songs and giving the band extended breaks for solos as our maiden and her love danced. The sun was setting and the sounds had attracted some of the folks from a nearby village. Once the number finished, there was chatter among the band. “Who needs wine?” asked the amiable bass player.
Just then, one of the villagers spoke, “Excuse me. Are you Sir Deja Doog? The Lord of the Recurring Darkness?”
Deja turned to face them, “Why yes,” he said, “I am”.
The villagers muttered to themselves, shaking their heads in disbelief, “I can hardly believe it. We heard about you! Or at least some of those professors at the college told us what these markings said!”
“What did they say?” the Sir asked.
The villager continued, “I'm afraid to say it out loud, truly, but I bet it's gonna be a hell of a good time! I mean, if we can't stop it we might as well enjoy, right?” All of the villagers nodded in agreement, “Is it alright if we let everybody know what's going on?”
“Of course,” he said as the restless drummer called out the next tune with a “1-2-3-4!”
